Disclaimer
The calculators here apply publicly published rates to the figures you enter. They produce an estimate. They are not financial, tax or legal advice, and using them does not create a professional relationship of any kind.
What that means in practice
- The revenue office, not this site, assesses what you actually owe.
- Concessions and exemptions have eligibility conditions beyond price, and this site cannot verify whether you meet them.
- Rates change, sometimes mid-year. Each page shows the date its rates took effect and the date the source was last checked. If those dates look old, treat the figure as out of date.
- Entitlement calculations assume the general rules of the relevant Act. An award, enterprise agreement or contract can change the answer.
When to get advice
For a decision that turns on the number — a purchase, a settlement, a resignation date, a final pay calculation — speak to a registered tax agent, a conveyancer or solicitor, or the relevant government office. Most revenue offices will give a written assessment on request, and that assessment is authoritative in a way this site cannot be.
Corrections
If a figure here disagrees with its source, the source is right. Report it and it will be fixed, with the corrected date shown on the page.
